FBGV is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Missouri Baptist Convention, and we adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
We have approximately 250 members in attendance each week between both the 9:00 and 10:30 services.
We are located in downtown Grain Valley, just 25 miles east of Kansas City.
Grain Valley is a rapidly growing community and First Baptist GV is one of the largest churches in the city. We currently have about 16,000 people in the community and our church has around 400 members. We offer a traditional worship service at 9:00 with a choir and a contemporary worship service at 10:30 with a worship team.

Our lead pastor has multiple primary responsibilities:
Preaching Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30
Teaching Sunday evenings at 6:00 and Wednesday evenings at 6:30
Leading and directing church staff to include weekly staff meetings
Shepherding the flock at First Baptist GV
Equip the church for the work of the ministry
Has a growing walk with Christ and leads with the Holy Spirit

FBGV utilizes a committee structure to serve the body. We also have specific ministry teams such as the Greeter team, Sewing team, Kitchen team, and more.

FBGV has a constitution that governs the business of the church. We have elected church leaders, officers, and committees to serve the ongoing needs of the church.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
The competitive pay package can include health insurance, housing allowance, and other ministry expenses.
First Baptist Grain Valley also owns a parsonage that can be offered as a housing solution for you and your family, if needed! The parsonage is on adjacent property to the church.
