Impact Generations

We're Not Just Building a Church. We're Shaping a Generation.

What we do here reaches further than Sunday morning. Every act of generosity, every life surrendered, every word of truth spoken over a child or a neighbor — it echoes. It outlasts us. We believe the most faithful thing we can do today is invest in the people who will carry the gospel tomorrow.

(we are committed to equip you to think beyond yourself spiritually)

"We will not hide them from their children, but will tell a future generation the praiseworthy acts of the Lord, his might, and the wondrous works he has performed." — Psalm 78:4 (CSB)

Acts 1:8 Mission Strategy:

From Here to the Ends of the Earth

Jesus didn't give us a suggestion. He gave us a strategy: "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8, CSB) That's not just geography — it's a way of thinking about mission. It starts where you are, and it doesn't stop.

Local — Right Here in Grain Valley

Our neighbors are our first mission field. We show up for our city through community partnerships, acts of service, and the simple, consistent presence of a church that genuinely cares about the people around it.

Associational — Alongside Our Partners

We're stronger together. Through the Blue River–Kansas City Baptist Association, we link arms with other churches in our region to plant new congregations and reach communities we couldn't reach alone.

North American — Across the Country

Church planting is one of the most effective tools for gospel expansion. We partner with the North American Mission Board to send people and resources to cities and communities across the U.S. and Canada that need new gospel-centered churches. We currently have partnerships in Wyoming and Montana.

Global — To the Ends of the Earth

The Great Commission has no borders. Through the International Mission Board and direct mission partnerships, we support men and women who have given their lives to carry the gospel to the nations — to people who may never have heard the name of Jesus. We currently have partnerships in Honduras, Guatemala and to Farsi speaking peoples in the Middle East.

Stories of Life Change

The best evidence of a living church isn't a program or a budget — it's a changed life. When someone steps out of the water after baptism, when a marriage is restored, when a teenager decides to follow Jesus — those are the stories worth telling. This is a collection of those moments. Real people. Real transformation. A God who is still doing wondrous works.

Iron Sharpening Iron Across Every Season of Life

Iron Sharpening Iron Across Every Season of Life

Real discipleship is personal. It happens when someone who has walked with Jesus longer takes the time to walk with someone who is just getting started. At FBCGV, we are intentional about creating spaces where generations mix — where young adults sit at the table with seasoned saints, where parents are encouraged by empty-nesters, where teenagers see what faithful living looks like over decades. This is exactly what Paul had in mind when he wrote to Timothy: "What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2, CSB) We're building that kind of culture, one relationship at a time. Would you like information about connecting with someone from another Season of Life?

The greatest legacy you can leave isn't financial

it's spiritual. It's the faith you model, the truth you speak, and the people you pour yourself into. Whatever season you're in, there is a place for you in this mission. Don't just attend a church. Be part of something that outlasts you. Come join us.
