Come as you are!

We've Been Hoping You'd Come.

Honestly, the first time you walk through a new church's doors takes real courage. I know — I've been the new person too. So before you ever set foot on our campus, I want you to know something: you're not going to walk in as a stranger. You're going to walk in as someone we've been waiting for.

- Pastor Chris

Two Worship Times.  One Church Family

Both services are a unique experience where the content of the message is similar but the pace and style are different. Neither is more "serious" or more "casual" than the other. Come at whichever time works best for your Sunday morning.

9:00 AM — Early & Engaged

Our 9:00 service worships God with congregational hymns led by a choir and a message straight from Scripture — just with a little more room to breathe before the rest of your Sunday gets going. Kids and Students programming runs at this time too, so the whole family is covered.

10:30 AM — Vibrant & Full

If Sunday mornings move a little slower at your house, 10:30 is your service. Come as you are, grab some coffee, and settle in. Energetic worship led by a band. A life-giving message from the Bible. More people to meet before and after. Additional kids programming runs at this time.

What to Expect

Parking

Pull right into the main lot off Walnut Street. Spots are clearly marked and we have volunteers outside to help point you in the right direction. There is additional parking around our Youth Center that is just behind the main campus on Capelle Street.

When You Walk In

Someone will greet you at the door — not in a pushy way, just a genuine "Hey, glad you're here." We have a Connection Team who love what they do, and they're easy to spot. If you have questions before or after the service, they're your people.

The Service Itself

We gather for about an hour. We sing together — real songs with real words that mean something. Then Pastor Chris or a member of our teaching team opens the Bible and teaches from it. No smoke, no gimmicks. Just honest, practical, Scripture-grounded preaching that's meant to connect to your life.

The Vibe

Come as you are. Jeans or dress clothes — we genuinely don't care. We're not a church that's trying to impress you. We're a church that wants to know you.

After the Service

Stick around. There's coffee. There are people. The lobby gets lively and it's a great time to say hello, ask questions, or just get a feel for who we are. We'd love to meet you.

Campus Info

Address:
207 West Walnut, Grain Valley, MO 64029

Getting Here
We're located just off Buckner Tarsney Road in downtown Grain Valley. If you are coming from outside of Grain Valley take Exit 24 off I-70 and go south to Walnut Street and take a right.

The Facility

Our building has one main entrance with a large awning — you won't have to guess where to go. The auditorium, kids wing, and welcome area are all easy to navigate from the moment you walk in.

Kids Check-In

We take your kids seriously — and we take their safety seriously. Before the service, you'll check your children in at our Kids Welcome Desk. Our team will get their info, print name tags, and walk you through exactly where your kids will be. Every volunteer is background-checked and trained. You'll leave knowing your kids are in good hands — and they'll leave having had a genuinely great time.

Kids programming runs for ages birth through 5th grade during both Sunday services.

Let Us Know You're Coming

It takes about 30 seconds and makes your first Sunday a little smoother. Fill out the form below and our team will be ready for you.

Closing Note from Pastor Chris

Closing Note from Pastor Chris

I'll be honest — my favorite moment of the whole week is shaking hands with someone who just walked through our doors for the first time. There's something sacred about that moment. You took a step. We're honored by it.

Wherever you're coming from — whatever brought you here — you are welcome at First Baptist Grain Valley. Not because we're a perfect church (we're not), but because we're a real one. And we're genuinely glad you're considering coming. We can't wait to meet you. See you Sunday.
